Irish manufacturing production down 4.6% monthly in June

(Alliance News) - Production in Irish manufacturing industries was lower in June compared with the previous month, numbers on Friday showed.

Production in Irish manufacturing industries fell 4.6% in June from May according to the Central Statistics Office.

However, over the three month period from April to June, production in manufacturing industries increased 6.2% versus the prior three months.

"The highly globalised Modern sector, which includes the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Computer & Electronic sectors, experienced a decrease of 13.6% in industrial production between April and June 2024, when compared with the same period in 2023. In contrast, the Traditional sector experienced an increase of 11.1% from April to June 2024, compared with the same period in 2023," CSO said.
